The objectives of INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON WATER RESOURCES AND WATER ENVIRONMENT FOR URBAN SUSTAINABILITY are to initiate concrete research collaborations between Chinese and Canadian researchers and to broker interactions between Chinese and Canadian companies that may lead to new business that will be beneficial to the urban environment in both countries. Anticipated areas of collaboration will include eco-engineering for water restoration, water and wastewater treatment technologies, remote sensing, GIS, modelling techniques and water resource recovery.
The workshop will be organized each year, alternatingly by China and Canada from 2018 onwards.
The first workshop has been planned to be held by Fudan University from Oct. 29th to Nov. 1st (Monday to Thursday), 2018, in Shanghai, China, in Fudan’s new campus, Jiangwan and Handan campus.
The second workshop will be held at Université Laval in the beginning of November, 2019 in Quebec City, Canada.
