第二届国际城市生态安全与可持续发展论坛于6月24-28日在复旦大学顺利举行

2019年6月24日-6月25日,“第二届国际城市生态安全与可持续发展论坛”在上海复旦大学江湾校区环境科学楼会议室举行。论坛由中国上海复旦大学(FUDAN UNIVERSITY)美国波士顿萨佛克大学(SUFFOILK UNIVERSITY)、《城乡规划》杂志社联合主办。会议主题为:“面向可持续发展的城市群及城市生态安全保障”,本论坛依托“十三五”国家重点研发计划项目“长三角城市群生态安全保障关键技术研究与集成示范”,旨在构建一个中美双方学术交流与合作的平台, 推进科研院所、政府部门和企业之间的交流与合作。将近百位来自相关领域的专家、学者与学生参加了本次会议,围绕城市生态安全评价、城市生态规划与可持续发展、气候变化与韧性城市、生态修复与海绵城市、大数据及其应用和城市生态安全政策与管控等专题,展开了精彩的学术成果交流与热点问题探讨。

 

The 2nd International Workshop on Urban Ecological Security and Sustainability was held at New Jiangwan Campus of Fudan University in Shanghai from June 24 to 27, 2019. This workshop was jointly organized by Fudan University, Shanghai, China, Suffolk University in Boston, USA, and the Magazine of Urban and Rural Planning. The theme of the workshop is the "Urban Agglomeration and Urban Ecological Security Guarantee for Sustainable Development”, relying on China’s National 13th Five-year Plan Key R&D Project entitled "Research and Demonstration of Key Technologies of Ecological Security Guarantee for Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration". The workshop aims to build a platform for academic exchanges and cooperation between China and the United States and to promote the exchange and cooperation between scientific research institutes, government agencies, and enterprises. Nearly 100 experts, scholars and students from related fields participated in the workshop, shared and discussed academic achievements and hot topicsincluding Urban Eco-Security assessment, Urban Eco-Planning and Sustainability, Climate Change and Resilient City, Eco-Restoration and Sponge City, Big Data Collection and Application and Policy and Governance for Urban Ecological Security.

会议正式开幕,首先由复旦大学环境科学与工程系王祥荣教授介绍参与此次会议的各位嘉宾,校长代表、复旦大学科研院常务副院长艾剑良教授和东北大学Mark Patterson教授进行了欢迎致辞。

Firstly, Prof. Xiangrong Wang, from the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering of Fudan University, gave an open speech and introduced the guests who participated in the workshop. Professor Jianliang Ai, President’s Representative and Executive Vice President of Fudan University Research Institute, and Prof. Mark Patterson from Coastal Sustainability Institute of Northeastern University gave the welcome speech.

 

上午的主题报告由萨佛克大学的Hayley Schiebel副教授主持。

来自东北大学的Mark Patterson教授、复旦大学的王祥荣教授和萨佛克大学的Scott L. Lussier教授围绕城市环境、城市群的生态耦合和生态安全、生物多样性保护和可持续发展做了主旨报告。

东北大学的Mark Patterson教授首先以“水道中微塑料对城市环境安全与可持续性影响”为专题做了演讲,他介绍了一种实验室新开发的用于微塑料检测和量化的新型传感器(MantaRay),可用于区分各类物质;他结合使用新传感器得到的检测结果提出了对微塑料污染淡水生态系统机制及动力学的推测,指出了未来研究的方向、仍需补充的数据和实施的方法。

复旦大学的王祥荣教授进行了关于“中国长江经济带城市群生态耦合与生态安全研究(YREBC)”的演讲。他强调了长江经济带生态研究的重要性,介绍了由国家重点发展的“十三五”规划“长三角城市群生态安全关键技术研究与综合示范(2016YFC0502700)”项目,该项目研究了中国长江经济带城市群的生态耦合和生态安全,并比较了四个城市群的整体情况,针对各自的现状和特点提出了对未来发展策略的建议。

萨佛克大学的Scott L. Lussier教授带来了有关利用无人机技术评估绿地中的树木破坏的报告。他的团队使用无人机对新英格兰格洛斯特由于吉普赛蛾虫侵袭而遭到破坏的区域进行了详细的损坏程度评估,并通过其它技术创建网格系统并对每个区域编号以方便管理;评估今后也将在每一年的同时长期进行,以便研究人员掌握当地树木的恢复情况。

 

The keynote presentation on the morning was hosted by Dr. Hayley Schiebel from Suffolk University.

Prof. Mark Patterson from Northeastern University firstly gave the speech on the theme of “Microplastics in Waterways impact Urban Environmental Security and Sustainability”. He introduced a new sensor for microplastics detection and quantification (MantaRay™) developed by their lab to differentiate plastic from non-plastic particles, came up with a speculation of pollution mechanisms of microplastics to freshwater ecosystems, and presented the further direction, supplied data and methods needed in the future study.

       Prof. Xiangrong Wang from Fudan University made a presentation about “Ecological coupling and ecological security of urban agglomerations in Yangtze River Economic Belt of ChinaYREBC”. He emphasized the importance of the ecological research of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and introduced the "Research and Integrated Demonstration of Key Technologies for Ecological Security of the Urban Agglomeration in Yangtze River Delta (2016YFC0502700)". Ecological security of urban agglomerations in Yangtze River Economic Belt of China were studiedand the comparisons of the development of four city agglomerations had been done, thus tabled proposals for the development strategies of these urban agglomerations in the future based on their situations and characteristics.

Prof. Scott L. Lussier from Suffolk University brought the speech about the “Assessing Tree Damage in Green Spaces Using Drone Technology”. Their team assessed the extent of the damage caused by the Gypsy Moth infestation in Gloucester, New England using drones, and created a grid system to view and code each region segments so that they can be managed more easily. This project will be flown each year at the same time to determine how well the trees are recovering.

下午上半场的学术报告由东北大学的Mark Patterson教授主持。首先由华东师范大学的蔡永立教授带来以“基于生态系统服务供需预算和流向分析的城际环境合作模式研究――以长江三角洲地区为例”的主题报告。他的团队通过对长三角大都市区域的研究,结合生态系统服务供需不匹配和空间关系分析,开发了一种城市间环境合作的生态系统服务(ES)框架,定义了“剩余城市”和“赤字城市”的概念,并结合流向分析发展城际环境合作模式,从而可为大城市地区的城市间环境合作提供有价值的信息。

萨佛克大学的Carlos Rufín教授做了主题为“社会公平对气候变化的适应”的报告。该项目围绕两个主要组成部分提供了一个框架,用于以社会公平的方式制定适应城市气候变化的新工具,从而减轻与气候变化相关的风险。

中国科学院城市环境研究所的任引教授带来了有关的“量化各种生态因子对城市森林地表温度的影响”的报告。研究以厦门市为例,整合了多源数据,以统一的城市规模开发数据库;通过多源空间数据和聚类区域空间统计分析相结合,揭示了城市森林LST的驱动机制,探讨了人类活动、生态因子与LST之间的相互作用。

萨佛克大学的Scott L. Lussier教授分享了一种用无人机技术评估盐沼生态系统中米草分布的研究。他们尝试在田间季节用无人机探测马里Rowley的Rough Meadows野生动物保护区中低沼泽互花米草是否已经扩张、减退;尝试探究无人机是否能在更广泛的范围内表征盐沼植被,并研究了相关的技术问题。

 

       The first part of the academic report on the afternoon was moderated by Prof. Mark Patterson of Suffolk University. Prof. Yongli Cai from East China Normal University made a presentation about Inter-city environmental cooperation model based on ecosystem services supply-demand budget and flow direction analysis: a case of Yangtze River Delta (YRD) Region”. They developed an ecosystem services (ES) framework for inter-city environmental cooperation by combining ecosystem service supply-demand mismatch and spatial relations analysis through the case study of the YRD metropolitan regiondefined ‘surplus city’ and ‘deficit city’ and combined these concepts with flow direction analysis for developing inter-city environmental cooperation models, so that this framework could provide valuable information to inform inter-city environmental cooperation in metropolitan regions.

Prof. Carlos Rufín from Suffolk University gave the report on the topic of “Socially equitable adaptation to climate change”. This project offers a framework based on two major components for the development of a new instrument for urban climate change adaptation in socially equitable manner to mitigate climate change-related risks.

Prof. Yin Ren from the Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences, brought the presentation of “Quantifying the influences of various ecological factors on land surface temperature of urban forests”. Xiamen City was selected as the study area. They integrated multi-source data to develop a database on a unified urban scale, combined multi-source spatial data and spatial statistical analysis of clustering regions to reveal the driving mechanism of urban forest LST, and observed the strong interactions between human activities, ecological factors, and LST.

Prof. Scott L. Lussier from Suffolk University shared a research of assessing Spartina distributions in salt marsh ecosystems with drone technology. Their team determined whether the low marsh Spartina alterniflora had expanded and S. patens had retreated at Rough Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary in Rowley MA with a drone in the past field season, explored whether it could characterize salt marsh vegetation on a much wider scale and tried to solve relevant technical problems.

下午下半场的学术报告由华东师范大学的曾刚教授主持。萨佛克大学的Sean Solley教授介绍了一种能设计更多内容的情境调查,说明了这种基于过程的学习如何帮助学生商议设计、环境和人类状况之间的关系,并展示了城市生态学和可持续性中心作为研究生物,社会和文化多样性的平台的方式。

复旦大学的谢玉静副教授讨论了景观异质性如何影响城市绿地生态系统服务供给的问题,将景观异质性引入城市绿地生态系统服务评价体系,提供了一种更科学的生态系统服务的评估方法,可以为景观和城市规划提供重要信息。

中国科学院城市环境研究所的左舒翟博士介绍了关于中国长江三角洲15个城市的水安全的精细评价成果,分析了长江三角洲主要城市水环境安全的空间变化,为未来经济发展的和谐分配,精细的水环境管理以及区域可持续发展提供了科学依据。

波士顿马萨诸塞大学的Francesco Peri教授介绍了一项利用实时沿海海洋酸化观测站评价马萨诸塞州牡蛎养殖业潜在长期影响的研究,通过在马萨诸塞州克斯伯里港部署全年监测系统观察可能影响沿海牡蛎种群的海水参数的快速变化,及由于自然变化而造成的变异事件。

 

       The second part was presided over by Prof. Zeng Gang from East China Normal University. Prof. Sean Solley from Suffolk University introduced a contextual inquiry designing a more in inclusive city. He explained how process based learning prepares students to negotiate the relationship between design, environment and the human condition, and demonstrates how the Center for Urban Ecology and Sustainability serves as a platform for the study of biological, social and cultural diversity.

Dr. Yujing Xie discussed about how landscape heterogeneities influence the provision of ecosystem services of urban green spaces. She attempted to integrate landscape heterogeneity into the evaluation of ecosystem services of urban greening, providing a more scientific assessment of ecosystem services, which can provide significant information for landscape and urban planning.

Dr. Shudi Zuo from Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences introduced a Refined water security assessment in 15 cities of the Yangtze River delta, China, and analyzed spatial variations in water environment security in the key cities of the Yangtze River Delta, providing the scientific reference to harmonious distribution of economic development, elaborate water environment management as well as regional sustainable development in the future.

Prof. Francesco Peri from University of Massachusetts Boston gave an introduction of a real-time coastal ocean acidification observatory to study potential long-term impacts on the oyster aquaculture industry in Massachusetts. They used a year-round, continuous monitoring system to determine natural variability in seawater parameters that might affect coastal oyster populations in Duxbury Harbor and variability due to natural events.

6月25日上午上半场的学术报告由萨佛克大学的Carlos Rufín教授主持。

萨佛克大学的Hayley N. Schiebel副教授带来了一项对新英格兰盐沼溶解有机物的季节性出口的研究,使用多个河口样带及实验室植物浸出实验研究了从新英格兰盐沼中输出的溶解有机物(DOM)的季节性变化。

上海师大的王亮绪博士介绍了一项通过深度学习对基于中国城市中城市情感的社交网络大数据的研究,他提出了一种数据驱动的深度学习方法来进行微博文本情感分析,并以结果为数据源,构建出了城市情感模型;利用上海市城市大数据进行时空分析,确定可能导致城市情绪变化的关键因素;该模型可以用来绘制全市人类情感分布,帮助进行城市生态安全评估。

上海环境科学研究院的王敏教授与王卿博士合作介绍了一项以上海为例的生态系统服务管理与生态空间格局优化研究。研究在土地利用模型中设置3种不同情景以模拟未来不同年份的生态系统模式,通过评估生态系统服务的供需情况,分析了每种情景的生态影响,为城市生态系统空间结构优化和城市生态系统服务管理研究提供了研究框架和方法。

 

The academic report for the first part on the June 25th morning was hosted by Prof. Carlos Rufín of Suffolk University.

 

Dr. Hayley N. Schiebel from Suffolk University brought a research of seasonal export of dissolved organic matter from a New England salt marsh. She investigated the seasonality of dissolved organic matter (DOM) export from a New England salt marsh using multiple estuary transects along with laboratory plant leaching experiments.

 

Dr. Liangxu Wang from Shanghai Normal University introduced a study of social network big data based urban emotions in Chinese cities by deep learning. He proposed a data-driven deep learning approach to do the microblog text sentiment analysis, and construct an urban emotion model taking the sentiment analysis result as data source. Furthermore, he conducted spatial-temporal analysis with Shanghai city urban big data to determine the key factors that may cause urban emotion changed. This model can help to map the distribution of the city-wide human emotion and urban ecological security assessment.

 

Prof. Min Wang and Dr. Qing Wang from Institute of Applied Ecology, Shanghai Academy of Environmental Sciences gave a case study of Shanghai, which focus on ecosystem services management and ecological spatial pattern optimization. Her study simulated the ecosystem patterns in different years in the future by setting 3 different scenarios in a land use model, analyzed the ecological effects of each scenario by evaluating the supply and demand of ecosystem services. This study provided a research framework and method for the studies on the optimization of urban ecosystem spatial construction and the urban ecosystem service management.

 

上午下半场的学术报告由来自中国科学院城市环境研究所的任引教授主持。

上海师大的徐迪博士进行了一项对城市化与气候变化对生态效应影响研究的介绍。他以谷歌地球引擎为基础,对本上海和青海湖两个区域的温度、降雨、地表温度和植被物候的变化进行定量分析,阐述了气候变化和城市化带来的环境影响,指出气候变化和未来城市可持续发展将是人类面临的主要问题。

 

The second part was presided over by Prof. Yin Ren from Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Di Xu from Shanghai Normal University brought an introduction of a research of urbanization and climate change impact on ecological effects. He quantitatively analyzed the change of temperature, rainfall, surface temperature and vegetation phenology in two districts of Shanghai and Qinghai Lake based on Google Earth Engine, to describe environment effect from climate change and urbanization, and indicated that climate change and future urban sustainable development will be major problems facing humanity.

接着进行的是研究生论坛,由复旦大学的谢玉静副教授担任主持。来自复旦大学、中科院环境研究所、南京林业大学、浙江大学的7位硕士和博士研究生分享了他们的科研成果,内容涉及生态安全、可持续发展、水质保护与水污染降解、城市与生态保护区管理等多个方面的研究。6位专家评委对学生的表现进行了打分,并根据总分评选出了一名一等奖、一名二等奖一名及两名三等奖。萨佛克大学的院长Maria Toyoda教授和复旦大学的王祥荣教授为获奖学生颁发了证书。

Next, the graduate-student forum was held, chaired by Dr. Yujing Xie, Fudan University. 7 masters and doctoral students from Fudan University, Institute of Environmental Studies of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Nanjing Forestry University, and Zhejiang University shared their research results on relative fields, like ecological security, sustainable development, water quality and pollution degradation, and management of cities and ecological protection areas. 6 expert judges scored the students' performance and selected one first prize, one second prize and two third prizes according to their total scores. Prof. and Dean Maria Toyoda and Prof. Xiangrong Wang awarded the winners certificates.

 

最后,Maria Toyoda教授和王祥荣教授分别对会议进行了总结,会议圆满落幕。

In the end, Prof. Maria Toyoda and Prof. Xiangrong Wang made conclusions for this workshop, and it ended successfully.

最后,与会的中方代表又移师1015分会场,参加“十三五”国家重点研发计划“长三角城市群生态安全保障关键技术研究与集成示范”项目协调推进会。各课题、任务单位相关负责人、主要科研人员参与了本次会议。他们分别是:第一课题曾刚、蔡永立等;第二课题杨巍、吝涛等;第三课题关庆伟、陈欣等;第四课题任引、田波、左昌柱等;第五课题王祥荣、谢玉静、王莉清等;第六课题高俊、付晶、周立国、戴晓燕等。

本次项目协调推进会旨在为项目顺利结题和下半年的年度汇报做好准备,交流项目开展3年以来的基地建设、研究进展、财务管理、数据共享、研究中遇到的问题和协调解决方案,以及下一步研究计划,着重探讨了以下几个方面的事项:自项目启动以来各课题组经验交流、经费使用情况、示范基地建设、数据共享、平台搭建、需要协调解决的问题等。会议议程分为三部分:会议宗旨介绍、各课题单位交流项目问题、解决方案讨论。

会议先由王祥荣教授发言介绍会议宗旨。王祥荣教授说“十三五”项目现在已经到了关键时期,我们现在要全力以赴为项目顺利结题做好准备。项目开展3年以来,各个课题组都取得了不错的成果,例如论文、专利等。但是我们还是遇到了一些问题,例如示范基地建设中的困难、经费使用率不高、合作单位资助、论文专利标注、成果筛选、数据成果共享等等。希望大家都在此次协调推进会上提出来,大家一起商讨解决方案。

关庆伟教授首先发言介绍了宜兴、常熟等示范基地建设和配套资金到位情况,并询问了示范基地现场验收流程等问题。王祥荣教授表示会就示范基地的验收时间、验收要求和流程等问题向中国21世纪议程管理中心进行咨询。任引教授提出阜阳基地、宁波基地和盐城基地的建设工作较为顺利,目前要做的是针对项目任务书将基地建设成果进行总结;而上海西沙湿地师范基地受气候影响经常出现监测站断电的情况,希望增加青浦示范基地,作为原西沙基地的补充。高俊教授也提出,现在长三角一体化已经上升为国家战略,而青浦、吴江、嘉善因地处三地交汇处也作为上海、浙江和江苏长三角一体化的试点地区,所以同样希望增加青浦为“长三角城市群生态安全保障关键技术研究与集成示范”项目的示范基地,以弥补原示范基地上海九段沙湿地国家级自然保护区的短板。与会代表一致同意。王祥荣教授并建议相关课题组在一个月内提交增加示范基地的报告,并附专家建言,总课题组会负责提交到中国21世纪议程管理中心。

戴晓燕老师随后发言,介绍了数据共享和模型集成平台的建设情况,反馈了目前存在的问题和困难。经过与会专家和代表们的共同讨论,一致同意在原有数据搜集基础上,提出专题数据收集具体到人的工作:第一课题提交汇总经济统计类数据;第二课题提交汇总环境监测数据;第三课题提交汇总林业数据;第四课题提交汇总土地利用类数据;第五课题提交汇总生态格局类数据;第六课题提交汇总大数据类数据。同时,数据说明应该随数据一同提交,并在每个课题确定了一个责任到人的联络人。王祥荣教授补充到:平台建设要先将框架设计并开发好,以便各个课题的成果后续集成。蔡永立教授也建议基础底图数据和数据共享模块集成的标准可以参考中科院地理所空间数据共享平台标准。

会议最后还确定了2019年下半年的项目推进协调会安排在9月中下旬在浙江宁波召开,由第四课题组组织并邀请项目跟踪专家参会。

6月26日,在会议主办方人员的带领下,会议代表们前往上海临港地区进行实地考察与研讨,参观考察了临港海绵城市展示中心、环滴水湖绿道及生态修复项目、滴水湖二环带湿地公园、临港新城城市规划和建设展览馆。主要了解中方以生态修复,生态安全与海绵城市试点工程多方面内容。具有中国特色的生态保护、生态修复与生态安全工程和先进理念为外国专家留下了深刻印象。
